Santōka Alarm
日本語EN

under a sky where the young persimmon leaves shine, i go on not dying

kaki no wakaba no kagayaku sora o shinazu ni iru

1934–1936 · To the mountains, to the waters
Sōmokutō · Walking Mountains, Walking Waters (Sankō suikō)

Notes

The young persimmon leaves shine against the sky. Beneath them, he goes on not dying. Not so much living as "not dying." The dazzle of the young leaves is what holds his life in place.
