Santōka Alarm
日本語EN

the New Year comes I bought a bucket and it's full of water

oshōgatsu ga kuru baketsu wa kaete mizu ga ippai

1937–1938 · Late years at Gochū-an
Sōmokutō · Persimmon Leaves (Kaki no ha)

Notes

The New Year is nearly here. He managed to buy a new bucket, and has drawn it brimming full of water. The one thing he could afford to replace was a single bucket. Still, a bucket full of freshly drawn water is a proud preparation for greeting the year.
